BWH Newsletter » Summer 2007
Welcome to Beaming with Health Newsletter … DECEMBER (already!) 2007. I am convinced there is a time hastening process that begins around August every year … after this, time seems to speed up. Christmas decorations appear in DJ’s early in September, the REALLY annoying Vivaldi Four Seasons buskers start playing in Pitt. St mall, and before you know it, it’s the end of the year.
Quote
Tea, Health & Happiness (my seventh book), is due to be released early next year. In my research I came across this beautiful poem written by the Chinese Taoist tea lover and poet, Lu Tong Pin. (If he was to turn up at my clinic, I’d be saying seven cups is a little excessive, Lu Tong!)
The first cup caresses my dry lips and throat
The second shatters the walls of my lonely sadnesss
The third searches the dry rivulets of my soul to find the stories of five thousand scrolls
With the fourth the pain of past injustice vanishes through my pores
The fifth purifies my flesh and bone
With the sixth I am in touch with the immortals
The seventh gives such pleasure I can hardly bear
The fresh air blows through my wings
As I make my way to Penglai*
Lu Tong Pin (755-805)
*(Mt. Penglai, off the coast of Shandong province, was the traditional home of the immortals)

Receiving Mim’s newsletters are always a welcome surprise. Good mix of information and content always inspires. Congratulations on the World Tea Congress invitation. Enjoy Las Vegas for what it is. Interesting article on acid forming foods - there’s a lot to be said on this subject and I feel there is a definite link between acid foods and arthritis. Have a great Christmas Mim. Cheers Jo
