Consultations – what to expect
- The first consultation will take one hour. In this consultation a full case history is taken, including: family history, diet, health history and iridology. Please bring copies of any relevant blood tests or medical reports.
- Further consultations take 45-60 minutes. Although every person and condition is different, generally the first consultation is followed by a second consultation 2 or 4 weeks later. This may be sufficient. If not, further consultations are generally made at monthly intervals.
Skype and phone consultation
For reasons of distance or circumstances, phone or Skype consultations are available. Phone and Skype consultations work surprisingly well. You book a time that suits you at work or home, and I give you a call. At the end of the consultation I outline your health goals, and recommend what you need to do or take. I then send you a summary of these recommendations by email or snail mail, as well as your receipt to claim from your health fund. Skype name: mim.beim

Communication
Communication is very important to the healing process. If you have any questions or changes to your health between consultations please do not hesitate to contact Mim. It is much better to have a quick chat or email at the time rather than wait until the next consultation. There is no charge for this service, except for medicine.
Health funds and payment
All accounts are to be paid at the time of consultation. Payment may be made using cash, cheque, eftpos, credit card or direct debit.
Depending on your medical insurance cover, naturopathic consultations are claimable – view the list of health funds that offer a rebate. Please use your receipt to claim. Medicines generally are not claimable from health funds.
Cancellations
Due to difficulty in filling consultations at late notice, appointments cancelled within 24 hours may attract a cancellation fee of $60.
Sending medicine
If you require herbs or supplements between consultations, they can be sent to your home or office, or can be picked up from the clinic at a pre-arranged time. Postage is via Australia Post.
